Why did the gauges on my dashboard stopped working?

Why is my Ford dash not working anymore?
Thought that was strange that the dash was having issues. On my drive back home basically nothing was working on the dash. Can someone explain if this was due to the dead battery cocking things up? or something else that’s playing up, and what would be the possible fix.
